work space

It's a HUMP DAY!!!!!
We are halfway through the week. Keep pushing if you haven't completed that goal or hit that halfway mark.
We are still in the middle of a pandemic and some of us are working remotely. I am so blessed that I am able to work remotely and in the comfort of my home. One of my goals is to have my own office space in the next few years. For now, I am going to show you where my location is at my home.
I usually work in my living room, but the tv is a huge distraction, I get too comfortable and end up hopping on Instagram or TikTok and boom 2 hours just passed and now I am in a slump  and don't want to get any work done lol

I hope you all have an amazing rest of your day!

Office Space:
Location: Dining Room
Workphone, Notebook, Pen, mouse, and AirPods.

customer service

happy wednesday!!

NEW GOALS, NEW MOOD, NEW EVERYTHING!!

Today’s blog post is very juicy!

We’ll be talking about everyone's favorite topic Customer Service.

We all have heard “ The customer is always right”.....

Did you roll your eyes? Cause I sure did. (image)

From working in the customer service industry and dealing with actual customers, I HATE that damn rule. Don’t get me wrong there are situations where that rule can be applied, but what bothers me the most is the customer service in a black business whether you own it or are shopping from one.

Now there are two things that I want to discuss.  Number one is giving respect and number two showing respect.

Respect needs to be shown both ways, but as a business owner we are very tired and fed up with the disrespect. Always remain professional, but sometimes, you have to stand your ground and words need to be said.  Business owners, should all have policies for your business. Put those damn policies EVERYWHERE!!!  This will help save a lot of time when having to show receipts. In the future, if you ever get an angry email complaint from a customer or someone is bashing your business on social media, those policies will help and you will be the one that is right.

There will be customers who will curse you out, type in all caps (as if that is supposed to do something), and just try to get under your skin. Just always remain professional, positive, and have your receipts ready for when replying back to an email or direct message. Don’t let some people get to you.

Customers… some of you have to learn how to be respectful when shopping with Black-owned businesses, especially woman-owned. The way some of you approach a situation is very disrespectful.  Don’t get me wrong, there are some business owners who are disrespectful and show no type of kindness to their supporters, but when having an issue with your order or service, you should not off the rip email the business saying “You need to do this or that” “This is why I don’t support Black-owned businesses”

STOP RIGHT THERE AHT AHT!!

It does not hurt to ask or send a kind email. Small Black-owned businesses have a lot of pressure already on them and I know some of yall know that. You giving an attitude is just adding extra stress to a Black-owned business’s life and that is not what people need right now. In the middle of a damn pandemic.

Business owners, please practice customer service by being respectful, understanding, and positive. We don’t need any bad vibes. Making money and making customers happy is the goal.

Customers, stop being so damn mean. You want to feel good when shopping and supporting a Black-owned business. The shopping experience is the best part when purchasing products that you like.

Just be respectful yall, it will definitely make a difference. Trust Me

Have you had any bad experiences with customer service as a business owner/customer?

dear young creative

Dear Young Creative,

I hope that you go after whatever you want in life. Always focus on your dreams and passions. So what if the next person is doing the same as you, remember that you are unique and no one can replicate you! Don’t let others' opinions make you doubt what you want to go after in life.

If you want to be a designer, be a designer.
If you want to be a baker, be a baker.
If you don’t want to go to college, don’t go.

Express yourself through your art!
Challenge yourself at all times.
Keep your foot on others’ necks!
Enjoy competing with yourself
Love what you do no matter what
Prove others wrong!

I wish I had this advice when growing up. I doubted myself too many times to realize how GREAT I AM.

To all you young creatives out there, please do not stop believing and go after what you love. Express yourself in many ways, keep creating things that will benefit you in the future. Only your opinion matters and what you feel.

I want nothing but success for you all!!

Keep shining baby
