the best way to deal with horrible customer service

2/21/2022

Now I know we all had to experience that one client/customer that almost took us out of character.

I never like the rule “The customer is always right” BULLSHIT because I have always seen people abuse that just to be an asshole.

I hate retail so much. There have been times when I lost my patience and had to curse someone out. As a business owner that shit does not change. RESPECT should always be there but once that person crosses that line, IT’S OVAAA!!!

You have to let them know that you are the one and the right one. Cause chilleeeee I’m never to sugar coat with yall. Wrong is wrong. But just some tips on when dealing with horrible customer service.

  1. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE POLICIES. They are your receipts, make sure to have a png or jpeg and just send it to the customer. If they dispute it, you have the evidence to win your case.
  2. If you run an online store, have terms and agreements in the checkout before someone buys from you, and for businesses that offer services make sure you have them in your contract and have them sign. This saves you from a lot of necessary back and forth.
  3. Never take it too personally. You can always decline service. Refund an order or fix the problem and/or refuse service or come up with a solution
  4. These are just 1/100people that you will experience when running a business. All money is not worth it or good money.
  5. Keep your peace and remain professional, but if someone is coming sideways you let them know that you are not to be played with. Hit them with the carry-on with your day and God bless.

Clients/customers know that they can test you. But always be 10 steps ahead and show them how professional you are. All money aint good money! Make sure you are secured behind the scenes and your proof will always win over customers/clients not reading when purchasing.

mistakes beginners make

Mistakes beginners make when starting/running their business.

  1. Rushing into everything
  2. Not doing your research
  3. Not taking your time
  4. Not studying your competition
  5. Not PLANNING
  6. Not knowing why you are the solution

Not wanting to put the work in and learn your industry You have to be passionate and love what you do. Take it slow and do it the right way. I’m telling you these mistakes because I went through all of them and helped you avoid that path but you learn and grow from mistakes. Do not ever be afraid to want to grow and learn about your business and for yourself.

I always learn from my mistakes and I love to perfect my craft. There are times when others tell me to slow down, it does not bother me but sometimes my ego or pride will step in and deny the allegations lmao. But you should always appreciate feedback and criticism from others. They are a fresh pair of eyes and a different mindset that will see things differently and in a way, you will not see it.

  1. Have a notebook for each business. I love writing and jotting my ideas down. You can create anything.
  2. RESEARCH! That’s it, love. There is so much information in this world and it will help to know about everything in your industry.
  3. Take your time, what are you rushing for? Rushed work creates a lot of mistakes and frustration. TAKE YOUR TIME, others tell me this and at first, I get defensive but then I take a step back and realize it was just advice and a solution to my problem.
  4. Study your competition. Do not copy but see what they are doing and how you can put your touch on it for your business. Again do not copy but just study how they are moving along with marketing and running their business.
  5. PLAN I love planners physical and digital. They help a lot with scheduling dates, meetings, when you want projects done, and keeping your life in order. The organization follows after planning. But when having a plan the workflow just runs smoothly.
  6. Why are you the solution to your customers/clients’ problems? If you do not have an answer for that, I believe it’s time to go back to the drawing board. Once you know how you are the solution, everything will fall into place and the care and passion for why you are doing this will make you feel great every day

Remember each of these steps and watch how you run shit. Waking up every day will not feel like a burden, you will love what you do and share that love with others.

AngelaCARES, INC

I have been blessed to work/volunteer for this amazing nonprofit in NJ.
Whos is AngelaCARES Inc, ACI pursues its mission by assisting clients to live their best life while building a legacy of empowering communities through projects and programs designed to assist clients facing emergency situations, guide clients along the path that leads to self-empowering, self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life. Since its inception (2011), we have provided various service activities, through our case management, workshops, volunteer activities, agency referrals, and client follow-up.
Being able to give back to the community by giving out free diapers every month, local food pantry, senior citizens advocate, and youth mentorship is such an amazing experience. Having my own business ACI has granted me the opportunity to be a part of the community.
Another great reason is that the woman that founded this nonprofit is my momma. She was a teen mom and still came out on top. She gives so much to her community, family, and friends and is truly an angel that is able to bless others.
I am giving you your flowers ma. I get to share you with the world and do not ever think I am not watching you. Continue to crush your goals and prove others wrong. Your kind heart and smile will forever come out on top because you are the definition of REAL!!!
I love you

Black History Month Spotlight MIIRIYA

Giving you your flowers

Who is Miirya?

How to pronounce Miiriya:
Me – e – ree – ya
Me as in myself, E like the letter E, Ree like the Ree in Reel (but with a Spanish R), and Ya.

Miiriya is an app that lets you shop Black-Owned Businesses all on one app.

The word Miiriya is a word from the African language of Bambara/Dioula, my native language. The word means “Thoughts” and “Ideas.” It can be used in many ways. In specific cases, you can use it with other words to mean “Philosophers” or “Thinkers.”

Being Black is tough specially when things aren’t created for us nor have the space to showcase our talents and gifts. Miiriya has over 1,000 Black-owned businesses on their website where you can BUY BLACK!!!

The amount of support that will go into this creator and other entrepreneurs is just amazing. The world we live in today is a hot ass mess but to have something created just for Black people to give them a chance to experience how it is to make a profit in a business, network, learn and grow, and come out on top is amazing. SIGN ME UP!!

Miiriya is new and any support is needed. There is a Patron page that will be linked where you can support to keep the business running also the owner helps those in need where you can donate.

Just amazing and a damn blessing.

Lamine Loco Thank you for all that you do. I am giving you your flowers now because you are making change and history. I wish you nothing but continued success and you will forever have a supporter.

Happy Black History Month
